Simone S. Atkinson

Simone S. Atkinson is the founder of The Atkinson Institute, where she explores how a person's sense of worth shapes confidence, belonging, resilience, and achievement. Her work brings together insights from psychology, lived experience, and interdisciplinary research to better understand why external success does not always become internal conviction.

Simone is a former healthcare executive with more than a decade of leadership experience. She is also an educator, military spouse, and holds a Master of Health Administration. Her experiences across healthcare, education, military life, and personal transition have shaped her understanding of identity, achievement, and the ways people can lose or rebuild a sense of themselves.

Today, she focuses on advancing conversations about sense of worth through research, writing, education, and practical frameworks designed to help people develop a more stable foundation for how they see themselves and their place in the world.

Simone approaches this work not as a clinician, but as a researcher, educator, and founder committed to asking questions that bridge academic inquiry and lived experience.
